Community rules and policies

Promoninja is a collaborative platform for sharing promotions where people have the opportunity to come together to talk about their interests and shopping experiences. For us it is essential that all users are able to express themselves on Promoninja, but for this it is very important that everyone has space to speak.

We support freedom of expression, but we do not tolerate any conduct that encourages or encourages hatred, or harassment in any way. We believe that there are many situations in which behavior and speech can be interpreted as offensive. It is our duty to protect community users from any hateful behavior and any type of harassment.

Therefore, when reviewing reported content, intent and context will also be considered. To better clarify this policy and how Promoninja will be analyzed in the face of hateful and harassing conduct, we provide further details below.

Hateful conduct

Hateful conduct is any and all content or behavior that encourages or facilitates discrimination, objectification, violence or harassment based on: disability or serious medical condition, race, ethnicity or national origin, sexual orientation, age, sex, gender, gender identity or religion .

The intent and context of the comment or reported activity will be considered, but hateful conduct is a violation of the zero tolerance rules and we will take all necessary measures in these situations, including suspending the accounts involved indefinitely.

Harassment

Harassment is any and all content or activity that attempts to intimidate, abuse or creates a hostile environment for other people, and is prohibited on Promoninja. Just like hateful conduct, Promoninja considers the intent, context and impact of any content reported as harassment and depending on the severity, harassers may be suspended indefinitely for the first violation.

Some activities considered harassment are:

  • Bullying - such as repetitive insults or attempts to embarrass someone, with the intention of offending;
  • Telling someone to hurt or kill themselves;
  • Create accounts dedicated to committing acts of harassment or hate;
  • Making unwanted sexual advances;
  • Committing sexual harassment or sexual bullying;
  • Incite or encourage others to commit harassment;

Reporting hateful or harassing content on Promoninja

We recognize that our team's mission is to ensure that the platform is a place where all users feel comfortable interacting with the community and that no one feels repressed or disrespected. For this reason, we are always willing to deal with conflictual actions on Promoninja.

How to report a promotion?

Anyone can report a promotion that does not meet Promoninja's community standards.

For that:

How to report a comment?

The comments space is very useful for discussing the quality of products and services provided. Therefore, comments should contribute to this healthy discussion.

How to report an argument?

Analysis/questions are essential for users to exchange online shopping experiences and recommend suitable products.

What happens after submitting the report?

After submission, your report will be sent directly for analysis. We will evaluate the promotion, comment and/or discussion, and take the necessary measures for the situation.

Punitive measures

Remedial measures may vary depending on the severity of the user's action.

If our team concludes that the user is violating any of the community policies, the post or comment will be removed and we will send a notification or email explaining which rules were violated.

If the user persists in violating the Code of Conduct and Promoninja's new guidelines, our team will apply the following measures:

  • Account in moderation: all promotions and comments from the person will have to be analyzed and approved by moderation.
  • Temporary suspension: the user will be banned for a period determined by our team.
  • Permanent suspension: serious offenses (e.g. threats, intimidation and publication of other individuals' personal information) may result in permanent account suspension without prior notice.

Our goal is to ensure fair decisions are made. Therefore, if the user believes that their content has been wrongly deleted, they can request a review.

We respect the individuality of our users and try our best not to interfere with their name and photo choices. However, the Team intervenes when there is a breach of one or more points listed below.

Check the rules:

  • It is prohibited to use an offensive username and/or photo.
  • It is prohibited to use the username and/or photo to circumvent Promoninja's rules. Any characterizations that aim to refer, directly or indirectly, to an ideological instance or competitor of Promoninja will not be accepted.
  • For security and identification reasons, it is prohibited to use a username that mentions Promoninja, Foguinho or any figure related to the rights reserved for the platform.

Therefore, when a breach of one of the rules above is identified, you will be asked to change your username and/or photo within a maximum period of 10 days from receipt of the notice via chat (Talk to Promoninja). The account in question will be temporarily suspended during this period. If compliance is not met within the established deadline, we will change the information that violates the guidelines and the ban will be revoked.

Users who exhibit suspicious behavior may have promotions and comments deleted, in addition to the possibility of having their profile analyzed or, in the case of extreme recurrence, being permanently banned. This measure is adopted in order to encourage trust among users and prevent the Community from being at risk or suffering from spam.

We may consider activity suspicious when:

  • We identify the same user creating several accounts to publish content or comment on their own publication, causing a false approval or positive evaluation of the product;
  • We identified the use of temporary mass emails in a short space of time;
  • We identified that a user only publishes promotions from the same store;
  • We identify fraud inducements.

Users who try to circumvent Promoninja's system may have their comments deleted. This conduct is adopted in order to prevent rules contained in our general agreements from being intentionally violated, which may result in profile analysis or permanent ban in case of extreme recurrence.

Examples of attempts to game the system:

Intentionally modify vetoed words so they are not filtered. Examples:

  • Peellandooo (Promoninja), nótibuk (notebook), the one who competes (competitor x), M.O.N.I.T.O.R (monitor), etc.
  • Use username, profile photo, photo in comments or coupon field to mention prohibited terms.

If your comment has been deleted and you believe this was done incorrectly, please contact us and request a review of your profile.

Inviolable rights are the basic rights of each user. This set of rights was developed based on surveys with platform members and internal meetings held by the team. The main objective is to ensure that each user can participate freely within Promoninja and they are:

Security

We ensure the protection of the integrity of users, as well as their data, in a website-to-user relationship and also between users. To do this, we evaluate all types of information present in Promoninja, to ensure that no data harms community members.

Impartiality

We guarantee the application of rules and criteria equally to all users, including members of the Promoninja team.

Transparency

Our purpose is to clearly and objectively transmit information regarding Promoninja that may impact users' experience in the community. Furthermore, we are available to clarify any outstanding queries in a concise manner.

Freedom

Users have the freedom to post content of the most diverse types and express themselves freely when they see fit. All this, of course, without offending any user or the community, and as long as they are in accordance with Promoninja's rules and local legislation.

Harmony

It is our team's duty to ensure that users find a harmonious and pleasant platform in which they feel comfortable participating. To do this, we analyze behaviors and users in order to guarantee this right.

How can we ensure that these rights are respected?

We reiterate that any and all users can question and request a review of Promoninja's current rules, especially if any of the rights mentioned above have been disrespected.

Users who violate the rules of Promoninja's Code of Conduct may have their access limited.

What does it mean to have limited access?

When we limit a user's access to Promoninja, they are prevented from posting promotions and commenting on them. Therefore, the user can still vote on promotions and also like comments.

How long is an account limited?

The Community Team will evaluate each case and we will decide, based on user behavior and our Code of Conduct, how long this account will be suspended.

What can I do to prevent my account from being suspended?

In order not to have their functions limited within Promoninja, the user must follow some behaviors that we consider essential for the harmony of the platform. Are they:

  • Do not send spam: we consider spam to be any content that is published with any intention other than helping the community save money and answering questions about products (e.g.: pornographic content, messages and quotes that have no connection with the promotion, disclosure of topics without good reasons , constant self-promotion, etc.)
  • Don't behave like a troll: troll users are those who disrupt topics or start discussions, for no apparent reason. Users who exhibit this behavior will also be penalized based on the evaluation of our moderators.
  • Do not perpetuate any type of prejudice: disrespecting the faith, religion or sexuality of any member within Promoninja is a serious offense and we do not accept this type of content.

Is it possible for an account to be banned?

Yes. Being offensive or practicing any other type of unfair conduct, for example, will be considered spam and may lead to the user being permanently banned from Promoninja.

According to our Code of Conduct, we do not approve any content that characterizes troll behavior, that is, any publication or comment that is intended to generate discussions, disrupting the community and Promoninja's purpose, which is to help users save money.

What can be considered troll behavior?

  • Content intended to destabilize the topic or community by making offensive jokes or comments;
  • Content that involves football teams in specific situations, such as defeat or relegation;
  • Content that involves products with exorbitant prices;
  • Content involving controversial themes;
  • Explicit sexual content;

What happens if this policy is violated?

If trolling behavior is identified, the following actions can be taken:

  • Deletion of the content in question;
  • Sending notification to the troll user;
  • Temporary or permanent user analysis;
  • User ban;

Promoninja is a collaborative website whose main objective is to help users save money. Therefore, in accordance with our Code of Conduct, we do not accept spam from promotions or comments that have third-party intentions that go beyond our intent. It is important to keep the platform collaborative and harmonious for everyone. Behavior like this can generate mass discussions and reports and unfortunately, it doesn't help the community. For this reason, we will not accept content that constitutes spam.

What type of content (promotion/comment) is considered spam?

  • Empty comments or answers with invisible text (font color), quotes without content, meaningless or even repeating questions, images and words;
  • Comments with sexual content (text or images);
  • Private message (PM) spam is also considered spam;
  • Several promotions from the same store/marketplace sent in bulk;
  • A large number of promotions for a specific product category sent in a short space of time;
  • Shots of promotions in a short space of time by the same author;
  • Posts linked to current news, where the intention is to cause laughter or offense;
  • Troll promotions, that is, promotions that can generate discussions and offensive comments, such as team shirts in specific situations (defeats, relegation), products with exorbitant prices, products with controversial themes, etc.
